Terms & Conditions

Effective date: August 30, 2026

I am Sheldon S. Crocker, founder of Crocker’s Transformative Thinking, and I operate this website and its related services.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of https://www.sheldoncrocker.com/ and the website content served through https://www.sheldonstransformativethinking.com/. They also apply when someone downloads my materials, enrols in my course, purchases something through a connected service, contacts me, or arranges a speaking engagement.

By using this website or its related services, you agree to these Terms. If a purchase, course enrolment, or speaking engagement has additional terms at checkout or in a written agreement, those specific terms will apply to that transaction.

1. Ownership of Content

Unless otherwise stated, the original content on this website, including my written material, books, course materials, talks, videos, downloadable worksheets, graphics, photographs, branding, and other resources, is owned by me or used with permission.

Materials that I intentionally make available may be viewed, downloaded, or printed for personal, non-commercial use. They may not be reproduced, republished, publicly uploaded, sold, distributed, modified, or used to create another commercial product without my written permission.

Course access and paid course materials are for the enrolled participant only. Course login details and paid materials must not be shared with another person.

If someone wants to share one of my free resources, they should share the webpage where the resource can be obtained rather than uploading or distributing the file itself.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a use that is permitted under applicable copyright law.

2. User Conduct

This website and its connected services must be used lawfully and respectfully.

Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, impersonate another person, submit knowingly false information, collect another visitor’s information without permission, infringe someone else’s rights, or use my content for unauthorized commercial purposes.

Abusive behaviour, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or deliberate disruption will not be tolerated in connected groups, live sessions, events, course spaces, or communication channels.

I may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, my services, other users, or my legal rights.

3. Disclaimer

The information shared through this website, my books, talks, course, videos, downloads, and other materials is provided for educational, informational, and inspirational purposes.

My work is informed partly by lived experience involving disability, trauma, addiction, recovery, resilience, identity, and rebuilding. It is not medical, mental-health, psychological, counselling, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice. Using my website or materials does not create a professional-client or therapist-client relationship.

Everyone’s circumstances are different. I do not promise or guarantee that my books, course, talks, downloads, or other materials will produce a particular personal, emotional, professional, or financial result. Testimonials and individual stories should not be understood as guaranteed or typical outcomes.

Visitors remain responsible for their own decisions and should seek help from an appropriately qualified professional when needed. This website does not provide emergency or crisis support. Anyone in immediate danger should contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis-support service.

4. Purchases, Cancellations, and Refunds

My books may be purchased through independent booksellers, online retailers, publishers, or distributors. When a purchase is made through one of these businesses, that business controls the transaction, including its prices, taxes, delivery arrangements, cancellation terms, return policies, and refunds.

My course is hosted through Thinkific, and payment may be handled through Thinkific or a connected payment provider. The course description and checkout page will identify the price, currency, included materials, access arrangements, and applicable cancellation or refund information.

Speaking engagements are governed by the specific written proposal, invoice, or booking agreement for the engagement. That agreement may address fees, deposits, travel, cancellation, rescheduling, recording, and other event requirements.

If I offer a product or service for direct purchase, the applicable payment, delivery, cancellation, and refund details will be provided before the purchase is completed.

Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts a cancellation, refund, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived. Questions about a direct transaction may be sent to sheldon@sheldoncrocker.com. Questions about a purchase made through a third-party retailer should normally be directed to that retailer.

5. Limitation of Liability

I make reasonable efforts to keep this website useful, accurate, and available. However, I cannot guarantee that every page, link, service, download, or connected platform will always be available, uninterrupted, current, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crocker’s Transformative Thinking and I will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from the use of, or inability to use, this website, its content, or a connected third-party service.

If I am found liable in connection with a paid product or service, my total liability will not exceed the amount paid to me for the specific product or service involved, to the extent that this limitation is legally permitted.

This section does not exclude or limit any liability, legal remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

This website may use or link to independent services such as Thinkific, booksellers, payment processors, PayPal, Stripe, Calendly, MailerLite, YouTube, Google services, and social-media platforms.

These services have their own terms, privacy policies, availability, security measures, and business practices. I do not control their websites and cannot guarantee their content, availability, security, or continued operation. A link does not necessarily mean that I endorse everything offered or stated by the third party.

My handling of personal information is explained in my Privacy Policy:

Information about cookies and similar technology is provided in my Cookie Policy:

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or legal protections that apply, disputes connected with these Terms will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Nothing in these Terms prevents someone from relying on a mandatory consumer protection or legal right that applies where they live.

8. Updates to These Terms

I may update these Terms when my website, services, business practices, or legal responsibilities change. The effective date shown at the top of this page indicates when the current version begins to apply.

Continued use of the website after that effective date means the revised Terms will apply to subsequent use.

If one part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing part of these Terms does not mean that I have permanently given up the right to enforce it.
