COMMUNITY & CONNECTION
Connection matters, especially when life has been difficult. Here, you can find ways to connect with me, follow my work, and join honest conversations about resilience, disability, identity, recovery, belonging, and moving forward.
Community of Unstuck Minds

Honest conversations and shared reflection.
A place to connect, listen, and take part at your own pace.
Stella’s Circle Inclusion Choir
I have been a member of Stella’s Circle Inclusion Choir for nine years. Being part of the choir has given me a place to sing, connect, and be myself alongside people with many different abilities and life experiences. The music, friendships, and sense of belonging have become an important part of my life.

Singing with the choir at the Bannerman Park Folk Festival.

Performing with the choir at the Social Work Association’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
The Positive Thinkers Club
I served as president of the St. John’s Positive Thinkers Club. It was an important part of my early growth as a speaker and gave me opportunities to share my experiences, listen to others, and become more involved in my community. The club reminded me how meaningful it can be when people have space to speak and be heard.

Sharing part of my journey with the club.

Speaking at a Positive Thinkers Club AGM as President.
“When Sheldon spoke as President, it didn’t feel like just a meeting, it felt like a turning point. He had this way of making everyone feel like their words mattered, like they mattered.”
– Club Attendee, The Positive Thinkers Club
