Cookies and Consent Choices
My website uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to provide basic functions, protect forms, remember privacy choices, and help keep the website secure.
Where consent is required, optional cookies and similar technologies may be used for website analytics or embedded third-party content only in accordance with the choices you make through the cookie banner.
CookieYes is used to display the cookie-consent banner, manage cookie choices, and remember those choices. Google Analytics is used to help understand general website-use patterns where analytics cookies are permitted.
You can accept, reject, or change optional-cookie choices through the cookie banner and its consent-preference controls.
More information about the cookie categories and specific cookies used on this website is available in my Cookie Policy .
Do Not Track Requests
My website does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals because there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to them. Visitors can manage non-essential cookies and tracking technologies through the CookieYes consent banner and cookie settings available on the website.
Embedded Content and Third-Party Links
Pages on this website may contain embedded content or links to outside services, including YouTube, Calendly, Thinkific, Amazon, Facebook, LinkedIn, payment services, and other third-party websites.
When you load, play, click, purchase through, schedule through, or otherwise interact with third-party content or services, that provider may collect information, use cookies, or process the interaction according to its own privacy policy and terms.
A link to another website does not make me responsible for that website’s privacy practices, security, or content.
Service Providers and Data Sharing
I do not sell or rent personal information, and I do not provide personal information to third parties for their own unrelated marketing purposes.
I may disclose only the information reasonably needed to third-party service providers that help me operate this website or provide a service you request. Depending on how you use the website or my related services, these may include:
- Hostinger: Website hosting, storage, security, backups, and technical operation.
- MailerLite: Mailing-list subscriptions and email delivery.

- WPForms and Google reCAPTCHA: Website form submissions, security, and spam protection.
- CookieYes: Cookie-consent management and consent records.
- Google Analytics and MonsterInsights: Website-use measurement where analytics are active and permitted by the visitor’s consent choices.
Depending on the service and the information involved, a third-party provider may process personal information on my behalf or may handle information under its own privacy policy, terms, and legal obligations.
I may also disclose personal information when required by law, when responding to a lawful request, or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security problems, or threats to legal rights.
Payment Information
Where a payment is made through a third-party platform or payment processor, payment information is processed by that provider. Depending on the transaction, this may include services such as Thinkific, PayPal, Stripe, Amazon, or another third-party service through which the transaction is completed.
I do not receive or store complete credit or debit card numbers, card security codes, or other complete payment-card credentials. Payment information is handled according to the privacy and security practices of the applicable payment or sales provider.
Processing Outside Canada
Some service providers may store or process personal information outside Newfoundland and Labrador or outside Canada. When information is processed in another country, it may be subject to that country’s laws and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, or other lawful authorities in that jurisdiction.
Where applicable privacy law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the transfer may rely on an applicable adequacy decision, contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism used by the relevant service provider.
Consent and Withdrawing Consent
Where consent is required for a particular collection, use, or disclosure of personal information, I obtain or rely on the required consent for that purpose.
Consent can be withdrawn, subject to reasonable legal or contractual limits, by changing cookie preferences, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting me.
Refusing or withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies should not prevent access to the main website, although certain optional features may function differently.
Where personal information is necessary to respond to a request, provide a requested service, or fulfil a contractual arrangement, I may be unable to provide that particular service if the required information is not provided.
Additional Rights Where EU/EEA Privacy Law Applies
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or another applicable European privacy law applies to a particular processing activity, personal information is processed on an appropriate legal basis.
Depending on the circumstances, that legal basis may include consent, taking steps requested before entering into or performing a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or legitimate interests such as operating, securing, maintaining, and improving my website and responding to inquiries, provided those interests are not overridden by the individual’s rights and interests.
Where applicable, individuals may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information held about them.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information where applicable.
- Request restriction of certain processing where applicable.
- Object to certain processing where applicable.
- Request data portability where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
- Make a complaint to the appropriate data-protection authority where applicable.
Access, Correction, Deletion, and Privacy Concerns
You may contact me to ask whether I hold personal information about you, request access to it, ask that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected, or request deletion where applicable.
I may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained when required for legal, accounting, tax, security, transaction, contractual, or other legitimate record-keeping purposes.
You may also contact me with a question or complaint about how I handle personal information.
If a concern cannot be resolved directly, information about contacting the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada is available at https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/ .
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed to children under the age of 16, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through this website without appropriate consent.
If I learn that personal information from a child under 16 has been collected in circumstances where it should not have been, I will take reasonable steps to delete it where applicable.
Data Retention
I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, tax, security, transaction, contractual, or record-keeping requirements.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the service involved. For example, mailing-list information may be retained until you unsubscribe or request removal, subject to any information that must be retained for lawful administrative or record-keeping purposes.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, I take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymize it, or allow the service provider holding it to remove it according to its applicable retention practices.
Security
I use reasonable administrative and technical measures, together with security features provided by the hosting, form, consent-management, course, email, analytics, payment, and other services used to operate this website, to help protect personal information.
No website, online service, email transmission, payment system, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy when my website, services, business practices, service providers, or legal responsibilities change.
The current version will remain available on this page with its effective date. Changes apply from the date shown on the updated policy.
If a change requires new consent, I will request it where required.
