KEEP on WALKING
A Transformative and Inspirational Journey
Book 1 of 3: Resilience Reborn – The Path from Struggle to Empowered Existence
About KEEP on WALKING
KEEP on WALKING is a memoir drawn from my lived experience. It offers an honest look at identity, change, and what it can take to begin again after life does not unfold as expected.
Written with openness and reflection, the book is for anyone trying to understand their past and consider what may be possible next.
From Rock Bottom to a New Direction
A difficult childhood in Newfoundland, alcoholism, and homelessness led to some of the lowest points in my life. The book speaks plainly about time on the streets and the early choices that began to change its direction.
A Journey of Sobriety and Growth
Sober since December 31, 1999, recovery has been a long process rather than a final destination. It has involved facing the past, making different choices, and allowing change to take shape gradually.
What Resilience Has Meant in My Life
Resilience is not about feeling strong every moment. It is about remaining present through uncertainty, learning from setbacks, and continuing with what is possible. These reflections may be meaningful for anyone facing trauma, grief, addiction, or another difficult chapter.
Inside This Book:
- The turning points that reshaped my path
- A clear account of the work behind lasting sobriety
- Reflections on identity, choices, and self-understanding
- A grounded perspective on persistence when progress is slow

About Me
Born with arthrogryposis, I have lived with physical challenges that have given me a personal perspective on accessibility and the importance of seeing ability in people.
Three college diplomas, past service as president of the St. John’s Positive Thinkers Club, and years of community involvement helped form Crocker’s Transformative Thinking. That foundation supports my work as an award-winning author, inspirational speaker, and disability advocate.
Experiences with addiction, homelessness, and recovery also inform my writing and presentations. They create room for honest reflection, self-understanding, and a more grounded way forward.
